Project Record Winners Collage

North Carolina 4-H has a long history of record keeping. This focus reflects the importance of record keeping as a life skill in our daily lives. Using a standard format, 4-H members record their 4-H projects and their club work as well as write their “4-H story” that reflects their overall involvement in the program. These are submitted yearly and members compete for awards by district. There are five districts in North Carolina 4-H. Eight Mitchell County 4-H members were awarded medals with their 4-H record books. The 2020 Mitchell County 4-H Project winners include:
Mylee Chapman, daughter of Kellie and Randall, (8-10 yr. old division) Healthy Lifestyles-Gold Medal; Emma Cook, daughter of Jennifer and Josh Cook, (11-13 yr. old division) Citizenship Community Service and Healthy Lifestyles-Gold Medal; Shauna English, daughter of Bette and Alan English, (11-13 yr. old division) Family and Consumer Sciences-Gold Medal; Emma Holden, daughter of Carol and Josh Holden (11-13 yr. old division) Personal Development/Leadership-Gold Medal; Allison McClellan, daughter of Stephanie and Samuel McClellan, (11-13 yr. old division) Communication/Expressive Arts-Silver Medal; Waverly Revels, daughter of Jennifer Revels, (11-13 yr. old division) Communications/Expressive Arts-Bronze Medal; Jesse Silver, son of Amanda and Jonathan Silver, (13-15 yr. old division) Personal Development/Leadership-Silver Medal; and Josh Silver, son of Amanda and Jonathan Silver, (13-15 yr. old division) Citizenships/Community Service-Gold Medal.
