Collapse ▲Last week, 115 4-H gardening kits were delivered to Gouge and Deyton Elementary Schools! Thanks to the wonderful teaching staff, kits were distributed to all 3rd-grade students. Kits included seed packets (carrot, bush bean, sunflower), peat pots, potting soil, and planting guides. Information is being collected via QR code that will allow staff to follow up with youth and their families! This project demonstrated great teamwork as the County Extension director secured funding, the 4-H agent put together and delivered the kits, and teachers at each school distributed them! A win-win situation for all!
