The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services asks North Carolina residents to be on the lookout for Asian Giant Hornets and to report any potential sightings. This pest is a threat to honeybees and can destroy beehives. It is not known to attack humans or their pets. Learn more by visiting Asian Giant Hornet.

If you think you have seen an Asian Giant Hornet, take a photo and submit it to NC State University’s Plant Disease and Insect Clinic. NC State has instructions on digital submissions under option 3.
