Mitchell County Boots and Buckles 4-H Livestock Club meets once monthly on a Tuesday or Thursday evening. Meeting dates and times will be announced and set in advance of the following meetings. Some weekend field days will also be included in the Club’s schedule and will be determined and announced.
Whether it be at a farm or park, each meeting’s location will vary in order to provide an exciting and new atmosphere for the participating youth.
Parents of youth that are interested in participating in the Mitchell County Boots and Buckles 4-H Livestock Club should contact the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Mitchell County Center at 828-688-4811 to register their youth with 4-H and the livestock Club.

- Participating youth will have the ability to work one-on-one with local livestock producers and their livestock.

- Youth will receive education and hands-on experience with animals that they do not own at home.
- Participating youth will have the ability to show animals at the Avery County A&H Fair and other fairs.
