Come out to Buladean to play - Old School! We will learn how to play jump rope, jacks, kickball, marbles, hopscotch, leapfrog, board games and more. We will end the summer with a Cake Walk RUN!

Put It Up! Kids Food Preservation classes
Put It Up! Food Preservation for Youth curriculum is a series of informal educational lessons that guide youth to explore and understand the science of safe food preservation. Cost for each class is $10 per person.

West District Horsemanship Clinic
This horsemanship clinic is designed for youth to increase their horsemanship knowledge and riding skills. Each child brings his/her own horse. Throughout the three-day clinic, participants will receive instruction in riding classes by selected disciplines. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced rider, this clinic has something to offer you!
We are offering an Unmounted Two-day Horse 101 Clinic experience. This is to allow our youth that participates in 4-H horse clubs or are interested in horses but do not currently have a horse of their own to bring to the clinic. This is a beginner-level introductory experience for youth who do not own or lease a horse. Check out the activities and days available for our two-footed/unmounted clinic!!
Ages 5-18 yrs. (Each participant must have an accompanying
parent or adult volunteer, (age 25 or older), with them throughout the entire clinic.)

Farm Tour
Youth will visit 3-5 local farms, with the opportunity to see vegetable, shrubbery, and livestock producers in action. Bring a bag lunch to enjoy.

4-H Jr. Summer Camp
Youth will participate in a week-long residential camp at Eastern Environmental 4-H Camp (Creswell, NC) This is the ultimate 6-day sleepaway camp experience for ages 8 to 12! Campers go home with new skills, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime. Activities include kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, rock climbing, ecology, crabbing, archery, swimming, arts and crafts, sports, games, and more. Transportation is provided.

76th 4-H Electric Congress
North Carolina 4-H Electric Congress is an educational event designed to recognize excellence in the Electric Program throughout the state. Electric Congress travels from region to region of the state, thus allowing for a variety of programming opportunities for everyone. Four-H members participate in educational workshops, meet Power Company Representatives, learn about careers in the energy industry, and interact with other electric winners. Special outings are planned to help youth learn more about their state.

NC State 4-H Congress
4-H Congress is an annual educational event sponsored by North Carolina 4-H and planned by the State 4-H Council and Congress Advisory Committee. North Carolina 4-H’ers ages 13-18 are invited to participate in this annual event. Some of the highlights for the event are workshops, state officer elections, honor club tapping, candlelight ceremony, service projects, talent show, dance and more.

Garden Day
Participants will learn the many steps that go into planting and tending to a garden. Youth will be able to work in the 4-H ALIVE Garden and enjoy a picnic lunch prepared using some of the harvested produce. Participants will meet at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Mitchell County Center and walk to the Garden.
