Avery A&H Fair Board along with N.C. Cooperative Extension, Mitchell County Center invite you to attend the educational and family friendly Avery A&H Fair Annual Draft Horse Pull and in Newland, NC September 2nd, 2023. This is an opportunity to commune with family and friends and learn about Avery and Mitchell Counties’ history while watching huge draft horses do what they are bred for and love. This is a family friendly event that will be accompanied by local vendors and concessions. Please bring your own chair for comfort and join us for a fun filled day that will kick off the Avery A&H Fair the following week, September 6th – 9th, 2023.

Please come visit and view local Producer’s culinary, artistic, preserved, agricultural, and horticultural items and livestock that are on display during the fair. This is an opportunity to educate youth and community members on the various products that are produced in our area.

In addition, please take time to attend the musical, talent, and youth 4-H livestock shows and events that take place every evening of the fair.
